AVC/H.264, AAC, MP2V and MP4V validation options for AtomBox Studio Pro now available
New validation options for AtomBox Studio Pro are now available – AVC/H.264, AAC, MP2V and MP4V.
MP4 and QuickTime Movie are some of the most popular file-based container formats used in the broadcast, medical, entertainment, mobile and other industries. The format is an important part in almost every workflow and solution, which involves media storage or VOD transmission.
AtomBox Studio is an easy to use MP4, QuickTime, 3GP and Flash Video container viewer, analyzer, utility for stream manipulation and validation. Except the MP4 and QuickTime container validation, the Pro version of the product now offers separate options for audio and video elementary streams validation. Supported are AVC/H.264 video, MPEG-4 video, MPEG-2 video and AAC audio elementary streams validation. The AVC/H.264 video stream validation is according the ISO/IEC 14496-10 specification, the MPEG-4 video stream validation is according to the ISO/IEC 14496-2 specification, the MPEG-2 video stream validation is according to the ISO/IEC 13818-2 specification and the AAC audio stream validation is according the ISO/IEC 13818-7 specification.
Erroneous audio and video frames, incorrect structures and changing stream parameters are easily detectable with the new validation modules. Each validation check and informational field of the validation module is configurable, which makes it easier to integrate the product with any third-party system and in any workflow. The validation process is faster than the real-time media file duration and depends on the system resources.
The validation modules are available for manual validation and verification in the AtomBox Studio Pro solution, and are also available for automated verification and validation in the Media Validator solution.
