MPEG PS Utils Pro version has been released

MPEG PS Utils Pro with manual validation and verification features has been released.

MPEG PS Utils is a solution for MPEG Program Stream media files examination and manipulation. The product parses and represents all headers on the system layer of the container including the packs layer and the PES layer. The solution also offers demultiplexing of all streams to PES or ES streams.

MPEG PS Utils Pro is a product extension of the standard MPEG PS Utils product, which offers MPEG Program Stream verification and validation. The validation is performed on the system layer including the PES layer. All structures are verified and validated in accordance to the ISO/IEC 13818-1 standard.

MPEG Program Stream format has been around for almost two decades and has been the chosen container for the popular DVD Video Disks and HD DVD Video Disks, as it was originally designed to be used in error free environment.

Except the MPEG Program Stream validation, the Pro extension now offers validation of AVC/H.264 video streams, MPEG-2 video streams, AAC audio streams and MPEG audio Layer I/II streams validation. The elementary stream validation modules are provided as separate options to the product. Each validation check and informational field of each validation module is configurable, which makes it easier to integrate the product with any third-party system and in any workflow. The validation process is faster than the real-time media file duration and depends on the system resources.

The validation modules are available for manual validation and verification in the MPEG PS Utils Pro application, and are available for automated verification and validation in the Media Validator solution.
