New Major Media Validator Release
The next major Media Validator release is a fact. The new version includes updates of the HEVC/H.265 Video Validation Module, AVC/H.264 Video Validation module, MPEG-2 Video Validation Module, MPEG Audio Validation Module and AAC Audio Validation Module.
The following structures have been updated in the HEVC/H.265 Video Validation Module:
- Video Parameter Set (VPS)
- Sequence Parameter Set (SPS)
- Picture Parameter Set (PPS)
The following structures have been updated in the AVC/H.264 Video Validation Module:
- Sequence Parameter Set (SPS)
- Picture Parameter Set (PPS)
The following structures have been updated in the MPEG-2 Video Validation Module:
- Sequence Header
- Sequence Extension
- GOP Header
- Picture Header
- Picture Coding Extension
The following structures have been updated in the AAC Audio Validation Module:
- ADTS Header
The following structures have been updated in the MPEG Audio Validation Module:
- MPA Header
The updated validation modules now expose and include in the validation report files all the fields of the specified structures, with their original names as per the corresponding specification, stored values in the stream being validated, and each field length in bits, if available.
