HEVC support in AtomBox Studio and MP4 Validation

The latest version of AtomBox Studio has been extended with HEVC support – for High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC/H.265) video format. The product has been extended in two directions. The first one is of extending the Sample Description atom/box (‘stsd’) with the HEVC specific description structures, such as Video Parameter Set (VPS), Sequence Parameter Set (SPS) and Picture Parameter Set (PPS). The second extension of AtomBox Studio is the support of HEVC validation of MP4 wrapped HEVC media files. Both extensions are available in the latest full version of the product with HEVC option enabled.

Media Validator’s HEVC validation module also has been updated to support MP4 multiplexed HEVC media files, now enabling the solution for automated batch and watch folder HEVC elementary stream and MP4 multiplexed HEVC files validation.
